We purchase sustainable materials wherever we can. All our timber comes from sustainable sources. We ensure that we recycle as many materials as possible, to ensure they do not go into landfill.
We constantly review our machinery and aim to replace it within a four-year cycle with lower emission vehicles, which also reduces running costs.
In order to be as efficient as possible, our machinery is powered by fuel from our own double bunded 900 litre fuel cubes, which are refilled directly by our supplier.
Project management is a key strength of A B Canham & Son, having overseen the creation of hundreds of developments, refurbishments, conversions and one-off buildings in the residential and commercial sectors. We can join your project at the acquisition or planning stage, right through to completion and handover.
We continue to invest in our own extensive fleet of construction vehicles, plant machinery and tools. We aim to replace it within a four-year cycle – including our telehandlers, excavators, tipper lorries and dumpers – so we always meet incumbent emissions criteria.
Canham-branded vehicles and tools are a familiar sight across developments in South London and the South East, thanks to our hire service. A B Canham & Son-owned items – from our largest fleet vehicles and site offices to scaffold towers and small tools – can be hired by special arrangement.
Yes as we have a number of CAD draughtsmen working at A B Canham & Son. They can undertake planning/building reg drawings or make amendments to existing plans.
We have worked on many Housing Association projects over the years and continue to partner with affordable providers in the Kent area. We build section 106 properties as well as direct sites for Housing Associations.
